Lacking Nothing

Scripture Focus

'Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. '

Throughout this pandemic, we have experienced trials that were seemingly overwhelming and unending. We quickly realized that we could not deal with this by ourselves. At times, we have felt that there was no purpose in this pandemic. At times, we have felt lost, confused, and scared. We realized that we did not have the power in and of ourselves to deal with (and overcome) the trials that we have experienced over the last year.

Yet, in this difficult time, we can see God’s purpose for our lives. When we were powerless to deal with the pandemic, we turned to God. We asked Him to help us, strengthen us and give us grace to deal with our situation. We have learned to trust God more than we ever have in the past. When this pandemic is over, we will see that God has been with us through it all. We will realize that God can give us power and strength to deal with (and overcome) the problems that we deal with daily.

Remember, this trial will end. If we can learn to trust God in our most difficult time, we will be more prepared for the day-to-day troubles that we will face. Through this pandemic, God wants us to become a believer that has matured in their faith. Maturing in our faith means that we believe in God to help us in difficult times, despite everything going wrong.

We need to continue asking for His grace, strength and wisdom in the middle of the trial. Let us not live as those who are lost, confused and scared. Let us live as purpose driven, clear minded and courageous believers. Let us keep moving forward in our faith. Let us ask God to complete His work in our lives.

Let us pray.

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for every reader of this blog right now. We pray that we may be mature and complete believers. We pray for us to be filled and empowered by Your Holy Spirit. Empower us to be able to face the storms in our life. We pray that we may not be tested beyond our strength. Help us through this trial. We pray for You to complete Your work and purpose in our lives.

We pray for those who are sick right now with COVID. We pray in faith for miraculous healing and recovery. We pray that You may Protect the health of those who are not ill. We pray for the comfort of those who lost loved ones. We pray for complete restoration for our nation and our world. We pray for deliverance to come soon by Your Hand. Let us be able to see Your Promise for a Hope and Future.

We pray for those who are hopeless right now. We pray that they will be filled with Your Hope and Your Strength. We pray that You would encourage them with the Holy Spirit to keep pressing forward. We love You Lord and we surrender all our burdens and prayer requests that are on our hearts. We bring all this into Your Presence and we commit it into Your Hands.

We ask all these things in Jesus name,

Amen.
