Trusting God in the Unknown

Scripture Focus

'And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. ' Hebrews 11:6 (https://my.bible.com/bible/111/HEB.11.6)

Change is the one constant in life. It is always difficult to face change and unknowns in life. Throughout this past year, we have been faced with many unknowns. God wants us to trust Him in the unknowns. He wants us to have faith and believe that He is in control. God does not let us know everything that will happen.

If we had knowledge of everything that was to happen in our lives, would we trust God? Most people would not trust God if they knew everything that was to happen in their lives. Since we don’t know everything that will happen in our lives, we must have our faith in God to help us face the uncertain times. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God. So we need to have our faith in God during the uncertain and unknown times. We must believe His promise that He has good plans for us (See Jeremiah 29:11).

God does not give us all the details of future events. God does give us instructions to follow one day at a time. How does this look practically? We need to meditate and focus on the promises that God gives us in the Bible. The Bible states:

That God has plans that are good for us (See Jeremiah 29:11).

Trust God when the future is unknown

That He can turn things around for our good (See Romans 8:28).

Trust God when nothing is going well

That if He is for us, nothing can stand against us (See Romans 8:31).

Trust God when you are facing opposition in doing His Will

That we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength (See Philippians 4:13).

Trust God when we can’t do things in our strength

You can trust these Promises of God. God will give us the Grace to move forward when we are facing the unknown. Let us move forward in our lives, trusting in God to take care of the unknown.

Let us pray.

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for every person reading this blog right now. We know we are living in one of the most uncertain times in history. We pray for Your Grace and Your Strength. We pray to be able to trust You in the unknown. Father, we do not know what tomorrow will bring. However, we can trust You in the fact that You already know about tomorrow. You are fighting for us. You will not leave us nor forsake us. We know that Your Word says that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. Give us the Grace to be able to remember and focus on Your Promises in our day-to-day life. We surrender our future and our nation’s future into Your Hands. We pray for Your deliverance to come soon from this pandemic. We pray for Your Healing and Grace for our nation and world. We surrender all our burdens and our prayer requests into Your Hands.

We ask all these things in Jesus name.

Amen
